 | Reading in the Workforce Part 1 (interactive training module)
The purpose of Reading in the Workforce is to offer a reading course to students in Career and Technical Education Programs of Study in a format that allows the students to concentrate their study on those learning objectives not yet mastered.
The modular format restructures the traditional three-credit hour reading course into three distinct one-credit hour components. Each of the three one-credit hour courses delivers specific learning objectives, and the compilation of all of those learning objectives are designed to prepare students for college-level and workplace reading skills. The philosophy that underpins the design is based on Accelerated Learning, which uses methodologies that are modeled on fundamental cognitive science principles.
